Arbor Vitae Foundation supports a small number of initiatives each year where careful funding, constructive partnership and longer-term commitment can make a lasting difference. We are particularly interested in work that is well-led, well-governed, and closely fits with one or more of our focus areas: education, the arts and health.

When considering requests for support, we look for:

• strong alignment with our charitable purposes

• clear leadership, sound governance and appropriate safeguarding

• a realistic plan for delivery, monitoring and learning

• the potential for sustainability or continuing benefit beyond the period of funding

• opportunities where early or seed funding can help an initiative develop, embed or scale

We do not operate fixed funding rounds. Expressions of Interest are reviewed periodically and at the trustees’ discretion.

Because we support only a limited number of initiatives, we are unable to fund all eligible requests and do not routinely provide detailed feedback on unsuccessful enquiries.
